Levels of Care at Focus
At Focus, we understand that each patient is different with very individual needs, so we offer a variety of treatment options through three distinctive programs. This allows our team to meet each person where they are, introducing effective rehabilitation techniques tailored to each person’s unique set of circumstances.
Residential Program
Our residential program at Focus allows patients to receive full treatment onsite, including housing, delicious meals, and 24-hour medical care. This particular program is our most intensive offering, and is designed to help remove outside triggers that can potentially lead to relapse. The specifics of care and recommended length of stay vary from patient to patient depending on each individual’s needs, and is determined by our expert care staff.
Partial Hospitalization Program
Like residential, our partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a structured treatment program that does not require overnight stays. PHP, sometimes referred to as "day treatment," gives individuals the flexibility to sleep in the comfort of their own home or at an offsite location while commuting to the facility five days a week for treatment. This level of care is often recommended to patients who have completed a residential program or as a step-up from outpatient care.
Intensive Outpatient Program
In addition to PHP, Focus offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for patients who need drug and alcohol treatment but do not require the level of care residential or partial hospitalization programs provide. IOP is often used in early addiction or as a step-down from residential or PHP. Patients participating in IOP meet three days a week to work toward recovery with our care staff.
DETOX AT FOCUS
We understand that the detoxification process can be among the most uncomfortable and frightening aspects of drug rehab, but our team works to make this transition to sobriety as certain as it is bearable. While detox typically lasts about 4-10 days, it can be longer depending upon the substance used and the intensity of withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal is a natural part of the recovery process, whether you’re struggling with alcohol, drugs, or other substances, and our team is here to help you through this– one of the initial steps toward recovery.
Our team consists of medical and support staff who are committed to helping each patient adjust medically while they go through detox. During this time and in the weeks or months that follow, Focus also helps patients find more balance in their lives through psychoeducational classes, therapy groups, yoga, balanced meals, and prioritized sleep. We work to create a safe and structured environment in which the recovery process can occur successfully, and we’re committed to making your transition to sobriety a smooth one from day one of detox to years down the road.
MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT
Focus is here to provide the support and reinforcement you need through a myriad of approaches, including medication-assisted treatment. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a method used to minimize the harsh withdrawal symptoms that accompany many types of substance use disorders and chemical addictions. MAT is just one of the tools available to you during drug rehab for opiate and sedative use disorders. Each of our physicians are board certified in addiction medicine and supervises specialized treatment regimens tailored to each individual patient in our care. This treatment approach may utilize opiate blockers in the early stages of opioid recovery to reduce the risk of relapse, as well as other medications and replacement therapies. Recovery times vary patient-to-patient.
