Adventure programming
Adventure programming is a unique way to experience the positive benefits of a natural environment while also gaining the rewards of a therapeutic process. Studies show a link between intentionally engaging in the outdoors and an overall improvement in well-being.
Focus utilizes adventure programming as an interactive way to aid in an individual’s recovery process. It provides a twofold emphasis of first mindfully engaging the person in the outdoors, and secondly utilizing support and community to obtain his or her goals. This offers a practical skill set that one can use long after the initial stay.
