Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Substance Abuse
Focus offers outpatient rehab programs for individuals who are in need of drug and alcohol treatment but do not require care at a residential level. Complimentary and confidential assessments are provided by our admissions team prior to program entry to determine the appropriate level of treatment for each new patient.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The Focus Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) can serve as primary treatment for someone who is struggling with maintaining sobriety or as continuing care following the completion of a residential and/or partial hospitalization program (PHP).
The goal of IOP is to assist patients in the development of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral coping skills to apply in their daily lives while creating a supportive environment in which they can process these changes. Through therapeutic process groups, patients develop an understanding of relapse warning signs, and establish a strong relapse prevention plan.
Skills and training topics include:
Identifying triggers and managing cravings
Drug refusal and assertive communication skills
Interpersonal effectiveness and impulse control
Distress tolerance and stress management
Grounding techniques and self-care
Understanding the 12 Steps
Healthy boundaries and codependency issues
Family roles
Relapse prevention and safety planning
The IOP program is on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and offered during both mornings and evenings so that individuals can participate in whichever sessions best fit their schedules.
Morning IOP 9am - 12pm
Evening IOP 5:45pm - 8:45pm
IOP treatment includes drug screenings and breathalyzers. Our continuing Aftercare group and our Alumni Program are both offered complimentary after treatment is complete.
